Cisco Packet Tracer Mobile App Reviews

I use this app and I love it but I just wish it had a bluetooth keyboard support. That would make everything so much easier. Its so easy when I read a text book along and perform everything off my ipad but its inconvenient using the touch screen keyboard especially when writing commands. The second support Id like to see is Google Drive support and more cloud services. I like it that it supports a dropbox but more options would be better. That would be it. Looking forward those features. That would be 5 stars.

I was looking for this app the last couple of years while I was in my Networking Academy. I was really excited a few days ago when I saw it on the website and its a great tool. The only disappointing thing is that it doesnt work with bluetooth keyboards which makes typing in the CLI much more tedious with the on screen keyboard vs. by bluetooth keyboard. PLEASE enable bluetooth keyboards and youll have a 5-star ratting! :-)

Works as expected. Nice to have access to Packet Tracer while on an Apple device as they still dont have a native Mac OS version yet. My only gripes are: -Why no support for Bluetooth keyboards? This is probably the only app I use that doesnt support them and is a real shame as it significantly slows down CLI command inputs. -Having iCloud Drive support would also be a nice addition so I wouldnt have to email my files back and forth as I dont have or want a Dropbox account. Even one drive support would be nice...

If your are a Cisco Netcad student this is not what you want. Just use the full version on a PC. This app is lacking in too many ways to help you. Also, it likes to crash if you try to run exam level networks in it.

This is an awesome app. However, working with a virtual keyboard is a struggle on any CLI. 3 stars for no Bluetooth keyboard support.

I do a lot of practicing via packet tracer on my Mac but I have to use VMware fusion in order to run an instance of Windows to run packet tracer. I was excited to find an iPad version, however there is NO Bluetooth keyboard support! Cmon Cisco... Running commands is a pain without a keyboard. You dropped the ball on this one... Such a careless omission of a feature. Please add Bluetooth support and I will revisit my review.

I have a couple suggestions for Cisco that might make new techs jobs easier. Put in patch panel to faceplate connections. As anyone that has physically worked at a network site (or office building knows) you dont run cabling straight from switch to hole in wall. Would help teach them the color combos of straight through and crossover paneling(if needed) plus it would make them understand the nightmare if you dont bring a labeler to a new network setup. I understand this is about cisco gear only but we are trying to teach new techs how to network properly and make it more efficient for them to troubleshoot. Have a good one.

Waiting for update to support PT 6.3. Otherwise its a solid application.

I guess this isnt compatible with an iPhone 6S+ running iOS9.2 Im unable to login, when i press user login nothing happens, same for guest login

The app works very well, but doesnt support Bluetooth keyboards. I bought a keyboard specifically for this app, and much to my dismay, found out the hard way that it does not support keyboards. It was heart-shattering to spend money on a device that wont work on this glorious app. My tears are pouring out as I type this review using the very keyboard that I bought that will not work on the app. I dont know what to do now. I cant simply go back to using the touch screen keyboard after using the Bluetooth keyboard, so I suppose I will return to studying as soon as it is compatible. TL;DR I just want Bluetooth keyboards to work on this app.

Good idea releasing a mobile packet tracer app, Cisco. Bad idea not giving keyboard support. Lets please get a patch out there and make it happen. Please!
